Chinese words 緣 and 連, meaning ‘fate’ and ‘connection’ respectively, correspond to Korean syllables both written as ‘연 (Yeon)’.
This double-bill screening features films from South Korean and Hong Kong filmmakers, presenting stories of chance / destined connections against the backdrop of London, a foreign land at once connected and removed from the protagonists’ homelands.
A meet-and-greet with Director Michael Mui before the screening, followed by a post-screening refreshment and chit-chat.
